Pashmina Dushala

A dushala, also known as a shawl, is a piece of woollen cloth that a woman wears over her head or the shoulders. These are usually made from pashmina wool and are well known for their warmth and softness. The wool comes from the Changthangi goat which is found in the mountainside in the northern part of India. Kashmir is well known for producing such shawls.

This dushala is lined with wool and has a fine pattern that has been woven into it. It has been in the family for 3 generations and has been passed down to the daughters of the family.
