Gold Bracelet

This gold bracelet is originally from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, when it was part of undivided India. It was made by artisans of the pre-partition times in the early 1930s and is set in the traditional style of jewellery given to brides as part of their trousseau. This particular style and design of jewellery is very difficult to find due to its delicate carvings. The bracelet has detailed filigree work which is a form of intricate metalwork, which is usually done with gold or silver and is set with rubies, emeralds and diamonds. The bracelet has been with the family for over 4 generations.
