A SERIES OF REGAL COINS FROM 1888-1940: Obverse View

These silver coins showcase a complete range of coins minted in British India. Interestingly, the Imperial gold coins were termed 'Carolina'; the silver coins 'Anglina', copper coins 'Cupperoon', and tin coins 'tinny'. The 'Regal-Style' designs showed Queen Victoria donning the crown which was a new development in the coins issued after 1862. This imperial collection of British India coins covers the lineage of the rulers in order, Queen Empress 1888, Edward VII 1901, George V 1917, and George VI 1940.

These coins have been passed down at least 3 generations in the family.
