Pair Of Golusu (Anklets)

Golusu are traditional anklets worn by women in South India. Traditionally, the anklets are made of silver, as gold was considered too precious a metal to be worn on the feet by layfolk. The golusu is often adorned with silver bells, which gives the beautiful oli (sound) that is associated with the ornament. This particular piece is a more modern and simple version of the traditional jewellery.
