Temple Jewellery Set (Haram and Earrings)

Temple jewellery is among the most well-known jewellery types from South India. It is usually embossed with depictions of gods and goddesses from the temples and is often sculpted from gold and silver. Having originated in the Chola and Pandya dynasties, these pieces were earlier made out of precious metal donations made to temples, and were solely meant for adorning deities and royals.

This particular set consists of a gold-plated pair of earrings and haram embedded with red, green and white stones, and the central motif of set the is the Annapakshi (Divine Swan).
