Temple Jewellery Set (Haram and Earrings)

Temple jewellery is among the most well-known types of jewellery from South India. It is usually embossed with depictions of gods and goddesses from the temples and the pieces are often are sculpted from gold and silver. Having originated in the Chola and Pandya dynasties, these pieces were earlier made out of precious metal donations made to temples, and were solely meant for adorning deities and royals.

This particular set consists of a gold plated pair of earrings and haram embedded with stones, and the central motif of the set is the Goddess Lakshmi.
