Rajasthani Wood Carved Tea Table

Wood work in Rajasthan is quite popular and dates back to the 17th century. Intricately carved wooden doors can be seen as the grand entrances of big palatial homes and havelis as well as latticed windows and door arches in the royal Rajput family houses. This work is also used to make furniture and other home decor items. A strong Mughal influence can be found in the fine motif work.

This is a Rajasthani tea table of wood, carved with an intricate floral design. It is being used by the contributor's family for almost sixty years.
