Description
The Kumbh Mela also witnesses the ritual of a grand meal before the Shahi Snaan. Before taking the holy dip, religious leaders of various sects, all clad in the holy colour of crimson, meet at a stipulated location to break bread together. The food is completely vegetarian and made with great care to ensure the preparation does not offend anyone’s religious belief. Many devout followers volunteer to serve these saints or gurus.
