Participants and delegates of the conference. The Intangible Cultural Heritage Division, INTACH in collaboration with the INTACH Uttarakhand chapter and UNESCO C2C organized a national conference named "Himalayan Heritage: Community-led Economic Regeneration" on the intangible culture of the Himalayan region at the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. The presenters coming from all over India deliberated over issues like promotion and development of communities, livelihood generation with sustainability, a distinctive set of indigenous and sacred belief systems within Himalayan region, exploring and identifying the loss of language, traditional knowledge, performing arts and oral traditions and addressing safeguarding concerns.
