Songs of Badrinath, Uttarakhand being performed by Dr. Sanjay Pandey accompanied by a tabla player at the National Conference held on the intangible heritage of the Himalayan region. Badrinath is a holy town and a nagar panchayat in Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is one of the four sites in India's char dham pilgrimage and gets its name from the temple of Badrinath. These songs are dedicated to deities residing in the temples of Badrinath. Dr. Purohitwas, one of the speakers in the conference spoke about the myths, stories, and folklore of Badrinath. The performance was a real celebration of the rich heritage of the state of Uttarakhand.
